Confederation of Construction Specialists

The objective of the Confederation is to achieve real and beneficial improvements in the business environment in which Specialist Companies operate.
The Confederation:-

• provides a strong common focus for the interests of Specialist construction companies / suppliers which contribute most of the value input into construction projects
  
  
• has pioneered the exposure of the extent and effect of contractual abuse campaigns positively for greater fairness and efficiency in the contractual links between Clients, Contractors and Specialists in construction projects
  
  
• is the most widely representative body in the construction industry. The common thread amongst the Confederation's widely diverse membership is the contractual problems, difficulties and obstacles they all face
  
  
• provides, via the Institute of Construction Specialists, a comprehensive and very highly regarded programme of contractual training courses aimed at meeting the vital and fundamental needs of the staff of Specialist companies
  
  
• is dedicated to serving the real interests of Specialist companies and to ensuring that they have a strong independent voice in the construction sector
  
  
• is committed to solving the problems of contractual abuse and inefficiency
  
  
• acts as an Adjudicator Nominating Body under the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996
  
  
• produces a range of standard equitable contract documents, including the widely used Gold Form of Secondary Sub Contract
