COURSE 11 - JCT 2005 UPDATE
Want to know what is replacing DOM/1 and DOM/2? How have these contracts changed? What will the effects be? What happened to Nomination? What are your design liabilities under the new system?
PROVIDES
- A detailed guide to the major changes to the entire JCT 2005 suite of forms of contract.
- Also commentary on the individual changes to some of the most frequently used contracts.
AIMS
- To give people who are familiar with the old JCT forms a mechanism for converting, both in detailed negotiation and also at policy level, to the realities of the new JCT suite of forms.
COURSE CONTENT
- A briefing on the JCT 2005 conference including philosophy of the new suite
- Payment and third party rights generally
- Changes in design
- Explanation of how the new forms fit together and how they replace (or otherwise!) the old suite and detailed clause by clause comments on those anticipated to be the mose important - Standard Building Subcontract, with and without design
- Intermediate Building Contract Subcontract, domestic and named
- Design and Build Subcontract and Major Project Subcontract
