SureSet Press Release

Charity benefit for yearlong initiative project

Sureset UK Ltd

Local company SureSet UK Ltd, specialist suppliers of resin bound paving nationwide, have recently awarded £600 prize money to the winners of a yearlong initiative project. The objective was set out by the Directors of the company, based in Sutton Veny near Warminster, to come up with an original idea, which will have the overall effect of increasing profit. The aim of the directors was to get members of different departments working together to achieve this and help integrate the whole company to improve communications and department relations.

The winning team was made up of three employees - Chris Over (warehouse assistant), Lauren Gardiner (Sales Supervisor) & Andy Newton (Operations & Marketing Manager). The winning ideas from the team included a way of producing sample dishes of the material in mass quantity to help cope with the increase demand without the need to employ more staff and sourcing a ‘pop-up’ tent suitable for covering the mixer and small laying areas, allowing the laying gangs to continue installation in the rain, saving many lost working days.

The team decided to donate all the £600 winnings to two charities. The first was £300 to Breakthrough Breast Cancer, which is a charity important to Chris whose mother is currently under going treatment for breast cancer. The second charity is Harry’s Hydro Charity, a local charity chose by Lauren Gardiner, who raise funds for a hydrotherapy pool to help a whole range of ailments from arthritis to cerebral palsy and those with mental, sensory and learning difficulties.
For more information on these charities go to www.breakthrough.org.uk and www.harrys-hydro.org.
